Realism
Well, I am having my mid-afternoon martini. And it dawns on me that I this concept that “Denial is the first stage” is bunk. The first stage is irrelevant. The important stage is Acceptance. When I accepted that I was a drunk I was able to become an outstanding drunk. Andy Warhol had Truman Capote I have Winston Churchill.
That you have to accept reality to succeed is a very Conservative idea.
