State of the Union

That was an excellent speech. He outlined his Wilsonian vision brilliantly. I have my qualms about the President’s policies, but not with his delivery.

The partisan rebuttals have been sad, in the sense that the country deserves better.

The one rebuttal that was well done was Governor Keine’s. Even so, we should end the practice of a post-State of the Union partisan speech by the outside party. Let us have one event that is not partisan. One speech that lays out a vision every year that is digested and then discussed not spun.
