A world afire

The Islamic community has gone rabid over 12 Danish cartoons. There are riots from the Gaza Strip to Indonesia. I understand the cartoons are offensive to Islam.

However, the question is simple: can the Islamic world ever except a liberal democracy? We are not talking about extremists in this instance. We are talking about mass demonstrations.

I am starting to think that the answer is No.
