OK I will take the bait. We can't have people running across the street and killing their neighbors. Unless of course the neighbor raped a two year old. What will a jury hear? Was this premeditated or did he snap. Did he take the kitchen knife with him to the neighbor’s house? If the circumstances show that he reacted immediately upon hearing of the alleged rape and it is proven that the neighbor did rape the child then a jury may let the father off.

Bait or not, I agree with the Old Man...you can't just run across the street and stab people to death.
That being said, and in the event the story is true (molestation) I would let the guy off with mounds of community service (you have to give him something). Dead guy's lawyer says the claim is unsubstantiated yet the dude lived at home with his mother...something is going on there that either the media isn't telling or just doesn't know.
