Socialism Light

Hillary Rodham Clinton:

"I prefer a 'we're all in it together' society," she said. "I believe our government can once again work for all Americans. It can promote the great American tradition of opportunity for all and special privileges for none."

1. She only used the word "opportunity" because Reagan forced this word into the politician's lexicon. If Hillary dropped the word, then Americans would immediately know that she believes that they are all failures without government intervention.

2. "I prefer a 'we're all in it together' society," Funny peculiar. I prefer a "let everybody live their own lives society." And if my old friend doubles my salary by becoming a businessman, God bless him. Before you tax his success away, wait until the Christmas party so that I can toast his drive, intelligence, and decency.

Comments:
She believes in 'shared prosperity' rather than an 'ownership society'. Give her credit. She practices what she preaches. She shares prosperity with infoUSA by accepting $900,000 in private jet travel for her family. She has also apparently purchased water front property in the Dominican Republic. This move seems to be her hedge against times when we may not be able to own property here at home and to move some of her assists out before she is called on to 'share'.
